Self-Employed Lending

You run a business. Your home loan shouldn’t feel harder than that.

Self-employed borrowers are often good credit risks who look complicated on paper. Lenders differ widely in how they treat add-backs, trust distributions and recent income growth. We find the lenders who see your business clearly.

What you need to know

Self-Employed Lending, explained.

01

BAS lending

If your latest tax returns don’t reflect your current trading, some lenders will consider recent BAS statements as evidence of income, usually alongside an accountant’s declaration.

02

Low doc solutions

Low doc loans use alternative evidence such as BAS, business bank statements or an accountant’s letter. Rates are usually higher, so we treat low doc as a bridge and plan to refinance onto a full doc loan once your financials catch up.

03

Trust borrowing

Lenders treat trust distributions very differently. Some only count what was distributed to you, while others will consider the trust’s overall profit. We present your structure in the way that is most accurately understood.

04

Company income

Wages, dividends and retained profits can all count, as can add-backs like depreciation and interest. We work with your accountant to present the full picture.
